The Clarence S. Campbell Bowl is currently presented to the club who wins the Western Conference Championship and moves on to the Stanley Cup Finals. The trophy was first presented to the NHL by the member clubs in 1968 in recognition for the services of Clarence S. Campbell, president of the league between 1946-1977. Campbell was also an on ice official for many years prior to serving as president. The cup itself is an example of excellent craftsmanship made of sterling silver, designed and crafted by a British silversmith in 1878
